The Thanksgiving Tree – A Poem

The Thanksgiving Tree

The Thanksgiving Tree,
Tall and strong.
Standing alone in the throng,
Of other trees, slim and fair,
With silver leaves that flow like hair.

The Thanksgiving Tree,
Full of things.
Dolls, and toys and kite string.
All the things you’re thankful for
Will be added, more and more

The Thanksgiving Tree,
So, important to thee.
Every November you think on this tree.
But the tree is forgotten when you’re lonely

The Thanksgiving Tree,
Works best when two or three,
Friends gather round,
To raise the sound,
Of their thanksgivings in many advances,
furnish the branches,
Of the Thanksgiving Tree.
