I want to be noticed,
Even though I protest.

I want you to be there,
Even when I seem to not care.

I want people in my life,
But I usually initiate strife.

I want you to be proud of me,
It sounds like a needy plea.

I want to succeed,
But I’m not getting there with any speed.

I want you to love me,
I want you to hug me,

I don’t want to be alone.
